Canada appreciates hearing about your complaint. It will be accessible to the Competition Bureau, a part of the federal department of Industry Canada. The Competition Bureau enforces four statutes in Canada, the Competition Act, the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, the Textile Labelling Act and the Precious Metals Marking Act. The Bureau will use the information you provide to spot emerging areas of consumer deception and to identify deceptive marketing practices that require possible law enforcement action. Because the internet marketplace is borderless, sharing your complaint with government agencies in different countries has never been more important to help us in our worldwide fight to keep the Internet safe for you. Submitting your complaint to this system WILL NOT trigger an obligation for us to review or investigate your complaint on your behalf. If you wish to file your complaint directly with the Competition Bureau in Canada instead of or in addition to filing it in this international system you can do so on our web site at www.competition.ic.gc.ca, by email at compbureau@ic.gc.ca, by calling our toll free number in Canada, 1-800-348-5358 or by calling 819-997-4282 or by fax at 819-997-0324.
